While sharing the Gospel of Jesus today during a lighthouse mission street outreach (before we gave out any food) several men drinking alcohol and listening from across the street began shouting how much they hated Christians, Jesus, etc. So after the message, I couldn't wait to walk across the street & offer them some cookies. I noticed that none of them had a hat or gloves and it was cold outside so I gave them gloves, hats & a few hygiene kits that I had in my bag. They were all shocked & very grateful. Then I prayed over them. One man who was so angry at God & says he loves Satan thanked me & says he wants me to come back to answer more questions he has about the bible & God - no one would ever answer his questions... Street Outreach is not always "peaches & cream" but If we as Jesus followers don't go into dark places then- who will?
"I came to seek and to save that which was lost.." - Jesus

Long-long lines of hurting people waiting for food at Lighthouse Mission daily outreaches.. The great news is that many are giving their lives to Jesus right there in the streets in the cold.. It's a total "loaves & fishes" thing to watch God expand the food we have to feed so many (3200 each week) a miracle to see him make what little $$ we have to buy fuel to deliver the food last for so long - God is so good.
During a Lighthouse Mission daily street outreach this Woman who was waiting online for food and only knows a to speak a little English made a decision to give her life to Jesus after hearing a message preached before handing out the food.. She did not have any Bible to read in the language she can understand- so Lighthouse Missionary Howie tracked one down & in a week she had one in her hands. She is so excited to have her own copy of Gods Word.. Thank you to everyone who invests in Lighthouse Mission to make things like this (lives changed) possible.

During a Lighthouse Mission daily street outreach this little boys family could not afford a winter coat for him, gloves or even a hat & he is standing on line waiting for food with his mom & dad who was injured & unable to work. Because of God working through you, Lighthouse Missionaries were able to give him a warm coat, hat & gloves- Thank you Jesus!

Here is a nice video of the Lighthouse Missions "kids club" children singing to Jesus during their CHRISTmas play...
If you really think & pray about these under-privileged & homeless children as they sing to Jesus many woke up this morning in a strange place because they are homeless, some woke up with no gifts to open, others shivering & very cold because they have no heat in their home because they can't afford oil. I understand that Lighthouse Mission can't possibly help everyone who is in legitimate need - I just dread to have to be the pastor that has to say No so often. If we had more monthly Financial partners we could say Yes more often. Please pray for these hurting families & Lighthouse that we will be able to meet more needs.

"Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men" - Luke 2:14

Sharing the good news about Jesus- the greatest gift ever offered & feeding the poor at a Lighthouse Mission street outreach while standing in the snow is a wonderful way to celebrate the birth of our savior Jesus.. Why not consider joining us one day & be the hands & feet of Jesus right here on Long Island.

Such a heart breaking response from a homeless little girl waiting on a Lighthouse Mission street outreach line for food when asked by a News 12 reporter what she wanted for CHRISTmas... her response was a "home for the holidays"

Please consider praying about finincially sponsoring us & joining us as we share the Gospel of Jesus & feed the poor right here on Long Island.

Having a CHRISTmas tree for many families on Long Island is a luxury. Many have to choose between putting gas in their car to get to work or buying a little food for their children.
However, God blessed the Lighthouse Mission with a dozen CHRISTmas trees & we were able to give them out at daily street outreaches.
A woman who needed one literally jumped up and down with joy thanking Jesus for her tree & her little daughter thanked God & hugged pastor jim. Thank you to whoever donated these beautiful trees we used them to share the gospel of Jesus with many waiting for food.
Presenting some of Lighthouse Missions "kids club" cast members of this years CHRISTmas play- this was a really BIG deal for them & they took it very seriously..

What is always amazing is that like when Jesus was born, many of the children who come to the Mission each week are homeless themselves and have a very hard life. Please keep them in your prayers.
Can ya think of a better way to celebrate the birth of Jesus then with a room full of under-privileged and homeless children?

If you stop & think about it for a moment- when Jesus was born He did not have a home. When He began His ministry He did not have ".. a place to lay His head"when scripture says "whatever you did for the least of my brothers & sisters you did it for me" (Matt 25:40) it blows my mind to think that these children are JESUS & how blessed we are to have served Him today at the Lighthouse Mission & each day throughout the week. Why not find out more & join us?
80+ under-privileged & homeless children came to celebrate the birth of Jesus today at the Lighthouse Missions free weekly "Kids Club" program.. Lunch, games, crafts are all a part if their exciting day-- best if all learning about Jesus.
If ya look real hard you might be able to spot Pastor Jim.

With each family that left the lighthouse missions CHRISTmas program with bags full of gifts for their children Christians were positioned in the hall with bibles to pray with everyone who wanted to pray... Everyone did. In fact, not only did many decide to follow Jesus but they actually lined up to pray! When was the last time that happened inside a public school.. God is on the move!
Can you imagine as a little child having to wake up on CHRISTmas morning in your family car?
The lines of hurting & hungry Long Island peole waiting at todays Lighthouse Mission street outreaches for food were so long I could hardly see the end of it.. Its so hard to see so many people hurting, even for me- I see so much pain each day. Today many of your neighbors came to me for prayer for so many reasons: Terminally ill childrem, sucidial thoughts because of depression, sickness in their bodies, no food to feed their children, families living in their cars, children with no warm cloths to wear, no money for much needed medication for themselves & their children, etc.. Please pray that Lighthouse Mission will be able to continue to share the Gospel of Jesus & feed the poor - monthly donations are down but the need is way way up. - Pastor Jim

Lots & lots of Lighthouse Mission volunteers receiving instructions on how to give out CHRISTmas gifts and pray with more then 240 local needy families.. It's an army for Jesus! Thank you to everyone who volunteered to be the hands of Jesus for the Lighthouse Missions CHRISTmas program..

NEWS 12 report: Hundreds & Hundreds of families were blessed by God through His Lighthouse Mission CHRISTmas program that was held inside a public school... Be sure to take notice to the Happy Birthday Jesus banner on the wall .... Pastor Jim is verrrry sneaky :-)

When we saw this military truck pull into the Lighthouse Mission parking lot we thought for sure they sent in the Marines to get Pastor Jim! Actually, they came to drop off a few boxes of toys for tomorrow's Lighthouse Mission CHRISTmas program.

"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the GOVERNMENT will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."- Isaiah 9:6
A very funny photo of the Lighthouse Missions "Kids Club" kids who volunteered to be cast members of our humble nativity play...
Here is a quick video of part of the Lighthouse Missions "Kids Club" CHRISTmas party on Saturday.. No matter how many years I serve Jesus in ministry it always brings tears to my eyes to hear under-privilaged & homeless children sing to Jesus.. It kind of puts things in perspective dosen't it?

Here are some of our Lighthouse Mission's "Kids Club" kids preparing for our yearly CHRISTmas pageant in our little pantry.. It is one of our favorite events of the year, we don't have much to offer but these all of the kids work hard & do a great job- I'm always so proud of them...like Jesus, many of the children are homeless themselves... Merry CHRISTmas - Pastor Jim
A young man asked me this afternoon "what is a simple way to effectively share the gospel of Jesus".. This photo is my answer:
Stand in the snow & freezing wind and small as you hand shivering poor people food and simply tell them "God loves you so much that He sent me to give you this food & tell you the good news of His son Jesus. Do you want to know what that news is"?... Many give their lives to Jesus at Lighthouse Mission daily street outreaches. Thank you to all who through your monthly offerings God uses to make these outreaches possible.

"And remember, it is a message to obey, not just to listen to. If you don't obey, you are only fooling yourself." - James 1:22

What a blessing to be able to look out a window at a beautiful snowfall from inside a warm house.. It begins to make CHRISTmas come alive- or does it? Want to REALLY experience the CHRISTmas feeling? Why not join us at a Lighthouse Mission daily street outreach where we share the gospel of Jesus, pray with people, give them food & warm clothing and best of all demonstrate to them the love of Jesus. There is truly nothing better then literally putting a warm coat & hat on a poor, freezing, hungry child & telling them it's from Jesus.
Consider praying to God and asking Him if He wants YOU to join us one day & becoming a monthly financial partner.. Merry CHRISTmas (Matt 25:40)

24 degrees outside today and people lined up at Lighthouse Mission street outreaches to receive food and a message from God. Children laughed & played as the Word of God was preached. A man who has been homeless for many years is considering to let Pastor Jim take him to a CHRISTian rehab program.. Please keep him in your prayers. It's going to be 18 degrees outside tonight.

It was cold outside today but we enjoyed a real blessing today to have a wonderful team of young people from Smithtown Gospel Tabernacle help hand out food & sing biblical CHRISTmas music during a Lighthouse Mission street outreach in Central Islip.. Many of the people waiting online for food had tears in their eyes & were truly touched by the love of Jesus in action today. Thank you to everyone who cones out each week to share the love of Jesus.

Want to know what Lighthouse Mission plans to do this CHRISTmas & how you can become part of it? Check out this video for all of the details.

Even though it may be raining & snowing people still stand on line at Lighthouse Mission street outreaches each day for food, cloths and comfort from Gods Word... Its a real "eye opener" when you see elderly people visibly shivering while standing in a freezing puddle in blowing snow & rain for food - this is still America right?

Today a 7yr old little girl told me that Santa did not bring her any toys last year because she was living in a shelter. The truth is, their mom did not know what else to say to them on CHRISTmas morning because she had nothing to give.. I told this little girl that God knows where they live & Don't worry, He is going to bless them this year as they celebrate the birth of His son Jesus in their little room at the shelter. She wanted me to promise her. This is one promise that I have no problem doing because I know that God has never ever let me down.... So I am looking forward to blessing this little family in addition to hundreds of others.

Please consider donating some toys, funds or gift cards this year for Lighthouse Missions CHRISTmas program in 2 weeks.. It will go into the hands of kids right here on Long Island- best of all, so will the gospel of Jesus.

Blessed to be having a great time today at the Lighthouse Missions kids club sharing the gospel of Jesus, playing games, singing songs, making crafts and giving lunch to nearly 80 underprivileged and homeless children. Sadly for many this will be there only meal for today... Would you, your business or church consider praying and asking God if he wants you to help sponsor this program one week with perhaps lunch, the crafts, expenses, etc.?
I'm so humbled by this, I had to share it:
An elderly widow walked over to Pastor Jim after receiving food during a Lighthouse Mission street outreach in the rain to thank him & she said "after many years of attending a church I never heard them share Jesus the way you do- it's so clear to understand. Lighthouse is the reason why I have given my life to Jesus" Curious Pastor asked "what did I say that was different?" She answered "you stood in the rain, snow, heat & cold to give me food. I watched the police harass & threaten to arrest you, you prayed with me in the rain for my husband when he was deathly ill - it was not only what you said, it's what I saw you all do"... This very poor little old woman died the next week... What a blessing to serve Jesus through His Lighthouse Mission. Come on down and be a part of what God is doing on the streets of Long Island each day! It will change your life.

It was foggy outside today during Lighthouse Mission daily street outreaches today.. No matter rain, snow, heat, fog, threats of arrest, beatings, etc. Lighthouse missionaries will always share the gospel of Jesus & feed the poor.. Will you help with your time, talents & treasure?
Hundreds of needy families who are unable to buy gifts for their children this CHRISTmas will be blessed by God through His Lighthouse Mission this December. Do you want to be the hands of Jesus to these poor families? Lighthouse needs toys & gifts for teens.... With each gift that goes out the door of the Lighthouse Mission, will go the gospel of Jesus. Will you, your church or family help?

Tuesday, December 3, 2013

Lighthouse Mission has now shifted gears and is in full CHRISTmas mode... Would you like to find out how you can reach a child right here on Long Island with a CHRISTmas gift- but even better the gospel of Jesus? .. Check out this video for more details.

Fios1 News Report: Long Island Hero... Here is a little secret: Pastor jim is NOT a Hero- JESUS is. The only reason Pastor Jim is able to do what he does & accomplish so much is because God is doing it NOT Pastor Jim. The reason I am explaining this is because any reference of Jesus made during this interview about the name of Jesus was carefully removed. The world gets so focused on "good works" that they blind themselves to why & how & by what power is the work is being done.

Want to take a break from all of your weekend shopping? Why not consider coming to the Lighthouse Missions street outreach in Patchogue today to: help be the hands of Jesus- the REAL reason for CHRISTmas by helping to hand out food, drop off a donation of food, toys or $$ at our HQ in Bellport, help pray for people waiting online for food or perhaps even just pray for us wherever you might be..
News12 Report: Lighthouse Mission serves a hot meal from Jesus to 150+ people... everyone had the opportunity to hear a clear salvation message about following Jesus & enjoyed a wonderful turkey dinner as a bonus :-)

What does a hot meal served at the Lighthouse Mission look like? .... It's a blessing to be the hands of Jesus to 150+ people today who came to enjoy a hot meal at the Lighthouse Missions HQ. Thank you to all who God used & donated food, time, talents & treasure to make this amazing day possible.
"Whatever you did for the least of my brothers & sisters you have done it unto me"- Jesus
