While ministering to people waiting online for food at today's Lighthouse Mission street outreaches a woman asked me why do we come each week to give them food? I answered her so that you can know that Jesus is real and that He cares
for you.. With that I shared the gospel of Jesus with her and she invited Jesus into Her life. This is why we do what we do At the lighthouse Mission. Thank you To everyone that God uses to make this amazing ministry possible every day.
It's cold, we are standing in mud giving out food to hundreds of people standing in line - telling each one that Jesus loves them... What a blessing to be the hands of Jesus.. Why not come & join us?

People often think that the Lighthouse Mission ministers mostly to homeless people. That is not so, these days people coming for help are just regular people of all ages who need a little extra help & prayer.
Lots of people attending todays Lighthouse Mission street outreaches in Coram & Lake Ronkonkoma. Can you help us share the gospel of Jesus & feed the poor? If you can't lend a hand helping to hand out food can you help provide it? God bless you.

We can't even imagine how many people will be standing on Lighthouse Mission food lines tomorrow at Lake Ronkonkoma & Coram.. No matter how many come to us for food - I'm sure hundreds. What an opportunity to share with them the amazing news of Jesus. Please pray for the harvest.

What does 70 under privileged & homeless children laughing + a parachute, plastic balls + rubber chickens look like at the Lighthouse Missions weekly Kids Club program look like? .. Watch the video... Best of all each one got to hear & see the love of Jesus in action. There's no better sound then children laughing who normally have so little reason to laugh ..
So many hungry & hurting people lining up each day at Lighthouse Mission street outreaches in hope of receiving a bag of groceries let along Thanksgiving food. We are so blessed to not only give food but share the Gospel of Jesus with each one of them- because THAT is what the Lighthouse is about.
Today is a busy day at the Lighthouse Mission. We are going to be doing our 1st street outreach at Smithtown Nissan: come down if you need Thanksgiving food & the Word of God from 10-12pm also, we are having the Kids Club at the Mission's HQ.. If you have children grades k-5th drop them off for an amazing afternoon of fun & learning about Jesus.

nto them. It's the love of Jesus in action. Want to find out more about this unique program? give us a call and we will get you plugged in. We have plenty of great guitars for everyone to use.

No matter how many times I look up at a Lighthouse Mission street outreach and see long lines of people waiting for a bag of groceries under a flying American flag- I cant help but think we should be praying more for America. This should never be happening here… We need your help to help meet this need, especially this Thanksgiving. We start giving thanksgiving food out tomorrow & we have very little.. Please pray.

With Thanksgiving only about a week away Lighthouse Mission does not have any Thanksgiving food to offer hurting Long Island families in need. In this video News12 reports on this overwhelming need. Can you help? God bless you.

I could not see the end of the line of people waiting for food at todays Lighthouse Mission street outreaches. Please keep us in prayer as we fight to meet the growing need of food here on Long Island.

And the lines at Lighthouse Mission weekly street outreaches are getting longer... Everyone waiting online for food keeps asking if Lighthouse Mission will be able to help them with thanksgiving food. At this time last year we had chickens,
turkeys & other holiday foods stocked up. This year so far we have none at all.. Please consider praying that God will make a way for us to meet the need. Last year we gave away 1600 thanksgiving meals... With God all things are possible!,

It was cold, wet & snowy still hundreds & hundreds showed up at Lighthouse Mission street outreachs today for food, coats & warm blankets. Many-many people invited Jesus into their lives. What a blessing to be the hands & feet of Jesus here on Long Island. Can you help? We need Thanksgiving foods, funds & prayer. - God bless you!
It does not matter if it is snowing or the wind is blowing the Lighthouse Mission team WILL be bringing much needed food, supplies & the gospel of Jesus to Port Jefferson Station & Mastic street outreach locations.. We are still in need of pantry foods & funds. Please consider partnering with us as we bring the love of Jesus into these hurting areas all year long.

Excited to be partnering with some of the folks at Smithtown Gospel Tabernacle to bring needed supplies into local emergency shelters. food, baby items, hygiene kits, coloring books for the children but best of all Bibles & the love of Jesus...

Wednesday, November 7, 2012

Pastor Jim & his team handing out food, cloths, blankets & hygiene kits & the love of Jesus to hurting people on the streets today. The cold wind & rain were literally blowing boxes of food all over the parking lot. We serve a God who can ca
lm the wind and the rains & His name is Jesus. We are still in need of food to give on the streets. We are getting a lot of cloths which is a blessing, but what we REALLY need is pantry foods. God bless you.
Its going to take a lot more then a few crazy storms to stop the Lighthouse Mission from sharing the Gospel of Jesus & feeding the poor today in Central Islip & Bellport..So if you need food, we will as always be at the normal street outrea
ches. If you want to donate food, funds, cloths, etc. you can do so at our HQ in Bellport.. If you dont mind getting your hair messed up from the wind & rain you can also meet us at either street outreach.. God bless you & please pray for us.

It breaks my heart to hear that Red Cross outreach locations are throwing away food. When I have an empty freezer & countless people coming to Lighthouse Mission daily street outreaches. We have been faithfully giving out warm coats, blanke
ts & food like I have never seen before in 20 years. Best of all so many people are open to hearing the good news of Jesus. Please pray that we will have enough food, funds and supplies to meet this massive need. God bless you!
We understand that people need food. That is why Lighthouse Mission offers food to more then 3000 people each week throughout the year. But what people really need is Jesus. Which is why at each Lighthouse street outreach everyone gets to h
ear the good news of Jesus, see the love of Jesus in action, take home a bible & have some one pray for them.. That's the best thing a Christian can do for someone.. So where are you Christian soldiers?  We need food , hands , & prayers. "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few" - Jesus
Children were so happy to receive some milk today at our street outreach (we rarely have milk) that they were literally jumping with excitement. It breaks my heart to hear reports that relief organizations are throwing away food.. We were
blessed today to also give away blankets & warm coats (thank you for your generous donations of coats & blankets). We still need food & funding. Would you please pray about helping us share the Gospel of Jesus & feed the poor here on Long Island?
Little child looking through donated cloths during lighthouse missions street outreach today while their parents waited online for food.. The great news is that their mom heard the Gospel of Jesus while waiting & accepted Jesus into her life..

The need for food is overwhelming. The lines at our daily street outreaches are very long. Everyone is asking for prayer- there is so many hurting people. We are giving warm coats & blankets in addition to food at each outreach location. Th
ank you to those who are able to donate food & funds-- it's going straight to meet the need. This is a video of our Coram outreach today. Please keep praying that we can meet this need & that God will sustain Pastor jim & his team of missionaries - they have been working for days and are all so tired.. God bless you!
Lots of calls from people making sure Lighthouse Mission outreach trucks will be going to the Ronkonkoma & Coram street outreaches today- they are afraid we don't have food to give them or enough fuel to drive to them. If that is you, Don't
worry, we are coming to share the Gospel of Jesus & help the hurting folks of Long Island.. It would take more then a hurricane to stop us from demonstrating the love of Jesus. Please pray for us as we attempt to meet this growing need here on Long Island..
Lighthouse Mission is DANGEROUSLY low on food & funds. Will you help? You can donate funds to us through our website. www.LighthouseMission.net (PayPal link on the right side)
Remember, We are not government funded at all- although Governme
nt funded agencies come to Lighthouse asking for help all of the time, which we freely give. "For with man these things are impossible, but with God all things are possible"-Matt 19:26. Every penny & bag of food is used & goes directly to help our local communities. None of It gets shipped out of state or different countries (believe me, there is a big enough need right here) Don't believe us? Join us at any of our daily street outreaches & see for yourself- you can even help hand it out directly to those in need... You can be the hands & feet of Jesus! People need bread for sure, but what they really need is the Bread of Life (Jesus) which is exactly what we give them.. God bless you!

While giving out water, sodas, snacks, bibles & tracts to people waiting on line for gas. Pastor Jim & Mike prayed with many hurting people... What a blessing & opportunity to demonstrate the love of Jesus.
During the Lighthouse Missions weekly Kids Club I noticed cars lining up for gas- 1/2 mile long. So pastor Jim & Mike loaded up a few carts of water, soda, chips, bibles, tracts and other goodies & walked down the line blessing people with food... Everyone was so thankful & we prayed with many of them... What an opportunity to show the live of Jesus!

Many children from homeless shelters already have a hard life- with the storm on top of that many have had no power, food or any happiness at all. So we are excited today to pick up 80-100 homeless children for the lighthouse Mission's week
ly Kids Club program today. Kids will enjoy an exciting puppet show, pizza lunch (for many it's their ONLY meal for the day), crafts & games. But best of all they get to learn about Jesus. Please pray for us today that we have enough space & money to buy pizza & drinks for all of the children.. God bless you.
Thank you to all of you who are helping to collect Food, funds & supplies for our daily street outreaches. We were blessed to give away food & pray with more then 3000 people this week alone- which is a miracle considering we work on donations alone. People are scared, tired, hungry and have in many cases lost hope. It is a blessing to share with each one of them the love of Jesus.

Friday, November 2, 2012

Hundreds & hundreds of hurting long islanders are lining up at Lighthouse Mission street outreaches hoping for a few bags of food. We are struggling to meet the need but we know that God is faithful. We were blessed to pray with everyone in need. Many gave their lives to Jesus- right there on the streets. Praise God! Please continue to pray for food & funds to meet this massive need.
Please keep us in prayer as we send out outreach trucks into Patchogue & Riverhead today. Normally, the Lighthouse Mission serves 3000+ each week, with the storm need on top of that the lines of hurting people ar elonger then ever before. The exciting news is that every person who comes for food gets to hear, see the love of Jesus in action. Can you help collect food or funds?

When Lighthouse Mission outreach trucks arrived at the street outreaches the people clapped. While everyone was waiting online for food I walked down the line & prayed with the people. So many people were tired, hungry and just cried.. It was a blessing to pray with them and offer them not only food but the comfort & love of Jesus. Can you help us be the hands of Jesus to countless people tomorrow in Patchogue & Riverhead?

Thursday, November 1, 2012

Lots of hurting people at the Lighthouse Missions weekly street outreaches today. Join us in prayer that God will provide us with enough food & workers to meet tomorrow's need in Riverhead & Patchogue.
PLEASE HELP! The lines of hurting Long Islanders waiting on line for food at Lighthouse Mission street outreaches are the longest we have seen in 20 years. We need food, supplies, Bibles to give to people who have lost everything & have no hope & people who are willing to help hand out food & pray with those who are scared, lost hope & NEED JESUS.
