Lighthouse Mission team & volunteer missionaries invade local park near mission troubled with gang violence, drugs & shootings. Pastor Jim uses side walk chalk, bubbles, kites & kick-balls as simple weapons against the enemy.. In other words- the love of Jesus.

Having a great time listening to Pastor Craig the Lighthouse Missions warehouse manager share the gospel of Jesus at a lighthouse Mission street outreach to a crowd of 120+ people waiting on line for food.. So many were blessed today & met Jesus.. I can't wait to see what God is going to do next! — with Carla Procida.

Before any food is given out at the Lighthouse Missions street outreaches we sing praises to God & then share a message about Jesus.. It's great to feed the poor but more importantly people need to hear the good news of Jesus.. (In this video volunteers unload truck while praise song to God is sung in background)

Hundreds of people attended today's lighthouse mission street outreaches today at Bellport & Central Islip in need Of food .. I was blessed to pray with many people. There is so many hurting people out there. So many think that God has forgotten them or they are being punished - I was blessed to tell them this good news: that God loves them & has not forgotten them. He sent Jesus for them to die for them to make a way for them to be with Him one day when they die... For many, this is the first time they have ever heard this.

The news is saying that the unemployment rate is improving & the economy is ultimately getting better: then why are the lines of people waiting for food at lighthouse mission daily street outreaches getting longer & our donations going way down? Be encouraged, we may not have much to offer by way of food or other items but what we do have we offer & that is Jesus to everyone we encounter- which is now 3250 Suffolk county people each week!

A giant home-made puzzle made of scrap cardboard with words of Jesus written on it may not seem like much but to these kids it's a fun game in a safe place.. In the communities surrounding the lighthouse mission with all of the increased shootings & violence the lighthouse has become a real safe house. Yes, the devil is real & yes- we do have bullet proof walls :-) Thank you Lord Jesus.
Our dear friend Gloria Schuck one of the founders of Jesus Alive Ministries which has been a long time ministry partner with the Lighthouse Mission has gone home to be with Jesus. It saddens us to know that she is no longer here with us her on earth. however, I am so happy for her knowing that she is truly home with Jesus & I can't wait to see here again one day in heaven. She & her husband are true soldiers of Jesus. Please keep her husband Guss in your prayers as I know he is missing his bride terribly - pastor jim

If you are interested in the funeral arrangements they are as follows: Overton funeral home 172 Main Street Islip NY 11751 Thursday 4/25 2-4:30pm & 7-9:00pm

God bless you

What a wonderful time the children had who attended the Lighthouse Missions free "Kids Club" program this week (everything at Lighthouse is always free!) one of the most wonderful sounds on earth is the laughter from homeless & under-privileged children & knowing that God is using you to help make that possible. Thank you to all of you who donate your time & $$ to make that possible... "Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples." - john 13:35
Lots & lots of children at the Lighthouse Missions "kids club" today.. When you think of hungry & hurting children you might think of foreign countries. Sadly, we have them right here on Long Island. The lighthouse may not have much but we will do all that we can to feed, clothe & most importantly show them the love of Jesus.
Hurting, hungry people right here on Long Island.. What a wonderful mission field right in our own back yards- all ya need to do is show up at any lighthouse mission street outreach & we will put you to work serving Jesus -- your life will never be the same!
Having a great time today sharing the gospel of Jesus & feeding the poor- sadly, the lines are very long & we have so few volunteers to help show the love of Jesus by handing out food. Where are all of the CHRISTian soldiers? -- " ..the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few "- Jesus

It's going to be a beautiful day outside. Why not spend some time from 12:00-1:00pm showing the love of Jesus & feeding the poor. No training necessary- Just a willing heart.
We will be in Port Jefferson & Shirley today. Link to the directions are below:

Youth at the lighthouse missions IGNITE program having a blast learning about Jesus & playing a fun game of "9 Square" sort of like volleyball (rather then letting the kids play Video games all day or joining gangs & finding trouble we encourage things like this) which is why everything at the mission has wheels- even the pulpits. So we can quickly change the room around each day. We will never have pews or stationary seating- if we did it would be hard to do things like this :-)

Even though it is quite obvious that the devil is at work don't be discouraged - God is doing so many amazing things. In this video 80+ homeless & under-privilaged children came to the lighthouse missions Kids Club to learn about Jesus, have fun & are enjoying a pizza lunch (for most - its their only meal of the day)..

A dad & his three little daughters all under the age of 9 yrs old came into the Lighthouse Mission and wanted to know if they could use our bathroom.. Pastor jim started to speak with them & discovered that they were out ALL day collecting cans. The children looked exhausted- yet not one of them asked for anything or even complained about pulling a wagon filled with discarded cans... not even a drink of water. Pastor jim blessed them with some food, goodies & for some of the children a new shoes. You would have thought it was Christmas. We prayed over the family in the name of Jesus & tried to plug them into a local church. Sadly, the dad works hard in construction but can't find enough work to pay their expenses so they collect cans. Please pray for this poor family & that the Lighthouse will be around to continue to be a light for Jesus in this crazy dark world.

Friday - It's raining, the wind is blowing and it's cold - People are standing outside waiting on lighthouse Mission street outreach food lines Hoping to receive a bag of groceries.. It's days like this that we Have the opportunity to not only tell them about Jesus but SHOW them the love of Jesus By standing with them outside in the rain the wind and the cold & giving them a bag of food in the name of Jesus.. Talk can be cheap- this is love in action ;-)

During a lighthouse mission street outreach this little boy was waiting on a long line for food with his Grandma.. When he saw pastor jim he wanted to thank him for the little bible & cross pastor jim gave him a week ago so he collected these flowers (dandelions) for him as a gift. What a blessing to be able to share the simple love of Jesus to thousands of hurting & hungry people each week.. Anyone is welcome to join us.

It's going to be a beautiful day outside today- so why not take a long lunch break & join us at a Lighthouse Mission street outreach? We really NEED HELP at the Central Islip location each week.. What can be better way to spend a few hours on a beautiful day then to share the Gospel of Jesus & feed the poor?

Want to smile today? Why not watch this video & while you're watching think about all of the blessings God has given you. These children who attend the Lighthouse Missions Kids Club have very-very hard lives. For many- all of their possessions fit into a single backpack. Homelessness, drugs, hunger, gangs, violence, extreme poverty, etc. are all very real parts if their lives, yet, they still sing happy praises to Jesus... We can all learn important lessons from children..
Will you consider helping to financially supporting this program?
It was a neat blessing to have the "Guardians of the Children" motorcycle club visit the Lighthouse Missions "Kids Club" .. They taught the children about bullying & what to do if you are bullied.. One 7 yr old little girl explained that she was bullied because she does not have nice shoes.  Another little boy because of his clothes (both live in homeless shelters & come from very poor families) .. we reminded them that Jesus was poor also & loves them very much.

It was great to have so many young people doing a 30 hour fast to get closer to God all while serving the hurting hungry of Long Island. To make things even harder for them after not eating for nearly 28 hours they worked loading & collecting food for the Lighthouse Mission! These guys were an amazing blessing from God -- we really needed their help. — with Michael Caiazzo.
Pastor jim having fun teaching a bunch of little children how to fly a kite at the park this afternoon while he told them about Jesus. While the rest of the team played games & demonstrated the love of Jesus with all of the other kids in the park-- where just a few weeks ago a young person was horribly cut up in gang violence... We are taking back ground that the enemy has stolen for the glory of God! -- why not join us or support lighthouse mission as we continue to go into dark places?
This past Saturday the Lighthouse Mission partnered with the youth of Grace Gospel Church and invaded a local park for Jesus. A park that is commonly controlled by gangs, violence & shootings. Side walk chalk, bubbles, face painting. Kick ball, nine square, kites, free snacks & food happened but very best of all loving on the kids & telling them the good news of Jesus.. It's the Kingdom of God at work.. Whoever said ministry was boring?

A person recently sent us an angry email telling us to stop giving out food in Riverhead- we are making their town look bad. Here is the truth: We are not here to make your town look good or bad- we are here for one purpose only and that is to tell people the good news of Jesus. The food is simply a bonus from God - pastor jim — at Lighthouse Mission / Riverhead Food Outreach.

I know it's spring but it was really cold outside today. Little children were shivering while their parents waited on line for food. Thankfully every need was met &  Jesus was lifted up at each lighthouse mission street outreach today.
This is Jesus on the move: feeding people when they are hungry, clothing those who have nothing to wear, being a father to the fatherless, encouraging, praying & standing up for those who are hopeless, helpless or lost-- but most of all: truly loving people enough to tell them the true & soul saving news of Jesus even if they hate, mock or even kill you for it - pastor jim
