Here is a fun video of children laughing and being silly at a free Lighthouse Mission puppet show. Most of these children live in homeless shelters & have very-very difficult lives. We are blessed each day to remind these little guys that God loves them & that they are fearfully & wonderfully made by God with a wonderful purpose.
Please consider supporting us as we continue to be the Light of Jesus in very dark places here on Long Island.

Long lines of hurting & hungry people at the Lighthouse Mission weekly street outreach in Lake Ronkonkoma. I grew up in this town & graduated from Sachem North HS in 1989... So it's especially close to my heart that everyone in Lake Ronkonkoma hears the good news of Jesus. -- Pastor Jim

At the Lighthouse Mission everyone is taught that God loves each one of us equally- no matter if you are rich or poor, white, latino, asian black or purple we are all the same in Gods eyes. Created in His image. He sent His son Jesus to die on a cross for all of us- no matter who you are or what you have done. Salvation is available for anyone who repents of their sins & accepts Jesus as lord of their life.
Look at these sweet children- all different skin colors working together, as friends - making crafts & learning about the love of Jesus together.
It's the Kingdom of God on the move at Lighthouse Mission.
Why not Come down & get on board?

Kids at the Lighthouse Missions "kids club" making their very own puppet. It might not seem like much but to these kids Lighthouse Mission is a few hours away from their very hard lives. Drugs, extremely poverty, violence, gangs, etc. are sadly a real part of the lives of these little guys.
Please consider becoming a monthly Finincial partner and help us be the hands of Jesus to countless people across Long Island.

This will make you smile if you watch:
What better sound is there then to hear poor little children laugh & scream with joy? One of my favorite things to do is blow bubbles with children & to remind them that Jesus loves them. -- Pastor Jim

With so many homeless & poor children going to bed hungry and scared each night here on Long Island FREE programs for teens & children at the Lighthouse Mission mean the world to these little guys. Best of all they get to experience the love of Jesus & know that God loves each one and has a wonderful plan for them.
What a blessing to watch God feed hundreds & hundreds of people today through His Lighthouse Mission. Unlike many other places who just give out food Lighthouse offers the best food of all -- "The bread of life" namely Jesus at each & every outreach (9 across long island) why not come out one day to help share the gospel of Jesus & feed the poor? It will change your life.

A bag of groceries to a 3rd grader may not seem like a big deal but to the 70+ kids of the Lighthouse Mission "kids club" it's the difference between going to bed with food in their belly or being hungry. Each child at the mission today was blessed to take home a packed bag of their own. It's the hands of Jesus in action. Thank you to everyone who God uses to make His lighthouse mission possible.
What a blessing for Lighthouse Mission to set up a hot dog cart and bless all of the wonderful Brookhaven volunteers who are cleaning up their neighborhoods with hot dogs, drinks but best of all Jesus. More then 150 volunteers got to hear the good news of Jesus! #lighthousemission

We are so excited about Saturdays FREE "Kids Club" program at the Lighthouse Mission. 11-1pm, Grades K-5th will experience a crazy puppet show by Katies Puppets, have a pizza lunch, play some silly games, make their own way cool puppet and learn about the love of Jesus. As always, space is limited so please bring your children on time.
Many children from homeless shelters already have a hard life- with the storm on top of that many have had no power, food or any happiness at all. So we are excited today to pick up 80-100 homeless children for the lighthouse Mission's weekly Kids Club program today. Kids will enjoy an exciting puppet show, pizza lunch (for many it's their ONLY meal for the day), crafts & games. But nest of all they get to learn about Jesus. Please pray for us today that we have enough space & money to buy pizza & drinks for all of the children.. God bless you.

I was blessed today when a woman SCREAMED at me today & threatened to SPIT in my face if I kept speaking about Jesus during a Lighthouse Mission street outreach... So I blessed her & kept speaking about Jesus to the 100+ other people who were on line for food from God.

If things like this did not happen I would wonder if what we were doing was making a difference against the kingdom of darkness. -- Pastor Jim

"God blesses you when people mock you and persecute you and lie about you and say all sorts of evil things against you because you are my followers." - Matthew 5:11

Someone just asked: "What does a normal Lighthouse Mission daily street outreach look like"?

It's the Kingdom of God on the move!

It takes countless volunteers & donations to make Lighthouse Mission DAILY street outreaches possible. More then 3200 long Islanders each week receive food from God through his lighthouse mission each week. But most importantly, they have an opportunity to hear the gospel of Jesus preached clearly through words and actions.. Thank you to everyone whom God uses to make this important ministry possible.
What a blessing to have so many teens come each day to the Lighthouse Mission. Sure they have crazy fun & adventures but best of all they learn about Jesus. What wonderful changes we have been blessed to witness God make in their lives. At Lighthouse everything we do & teach is ALL about Jesus.

After several years and a lot of hard work from a very talented local artist Cheryl Frey Richards the mural inside the Lighthouse Missions HQ is complete... It's a lighthouse shining it's light into a stormy, dark crazy storm... The storm represents our lives and the bright penetrating light represents Jesus.. Thank you Cheryl God has used you in an amazing way!
You might think you would get used to seeing so many hurting & hungry Long Islanders standing on
Lighthouse Mission food lines each day - but it still breaks my heart every time. Because donations are way down - We don't have much to offer but what we DO have to offer is (and very best of all ) JESUS.

I was just invited to a very prestigious event to be the "key note" speaker. I'm just some lowly-poor pastor in Bellport- who would ask me to be their speaker? Anywho, Lots of important people will be in attendance. So I agreed to speak & deliver the prayers- I was soo excited. However, it was pointed out to me that they DONT want me to pray or speak about Jesus. Really? That's who sent me & that's who I represent..
So I had to respectfully decline.. Whoever said following Jesus would be easy? - Pastor Jim
One of the things Lighthouse Mission loves to do is keep teens busy with exciting adventures while teaching & demonstrating authentic Jesus to them... Kayaking, mountain biking, sailing, long boarding, camping, driving jeeps on the beach, flying kites, surfing, rock climbing, etc. Who needs gangs or drugs? Following Jesus is so much more exciting!

A simple donated hamburger & milk may not sound like a big deal to most people but to the children who come to the Lighthouse Mission it's a big deal because it will most likely be their only meal for the day. This little guy was praying and thanking God for his meal.. When I think about my life and see these children praying & thanking God & singing songs to Him it kind of puts things into perspective for me. - Pastor Jim

What happens on a Saturday afternoon at the Lighthouse Missions "Kids Club"? Lots of laughing, singing & having fun. But most importantly.. Learning about Jesus.

Getting ready for Lighthouse Mission's "FREE kids club" Saturday 11-1pm grades k-5th.. Silly games, snack's, goodies, McDonald's lunch, and best of all learning about Jesus..

A simple hamburger & french fry lunch may not seem like much most people but for many of these kids it will be the only meal they have for the day- it's a really big deal. Please keep these children in your prayers.#lighthousemission
At Lighthouse Missions "Kids Club" children were blessed to decorate their own bible covers - then we gave them a bible to put inside. Check out this photo and see what this little girl wrote on her cover.. Sadly, Most of these homeless & under-privileged children don't have a dad in their lives. But God says He is a Father to the fatherless.. And that is exactly what we teach them. That they have a Heavenly Father who love them & cares for them.
