Pastor Jim's public response to a grumpy secular/religious agency's statement:

A secular/religious agency told me that "I am wasting my time praying for people and telling them about Jesus. We are offending people and should stop preaching & praying & just give out food".. Really? Here is my public answer: I am completely okay if I offend someone. I am NOT here to make friends but to tell people about Jesus!
If Lighthouse Mission just gives them food, it will only last them for only a few days but the "Bread" of life- namely Jesus WILL last them a lifetime! .. In other words we will never stop telling people the good news of Jesus.

If you look closely at this video of a Lighthouse Mission daily street outreach you will see volunteers giving out Bibles, sharing the gospel of Jesus with people, handing out food, praying for people and if you listen carefully someone playing an old hymn on a guitar for people who are waiting on line for food. Only moments earlier a pastor preached a salvation message to them & many gave their lives to Jesus on the street that day.

If this isn't the Kingdom of God on the move and I do not know what is. -- Pastor Jim

What a blessing Lighthouse Mission is having this week. Bethpage assembly of God has sponsored all 10 of our weekly street outreaches! ... Bringing bibles, clothes, a huge food drive, collecting funds to pay for fuel and outreach expenses, scheduling volunteers to come to each outreach, praying for people waiting on the food line, sharing the gospel of Jesus and even bringing hot pasta and pizza for the people waiting on line for food. Thank you!!

If your church or organization is interested in doing the same thing please call 631-758-7584 and we will get you plug right in.

Before and after each and every Lighthouse Mission daily street outreach volunteer missionaries (which could be you) get together and pray to the God of the Bible for the people who are coming for the food. Often times homeless, sick, hurting and hungry people join us in prayer...
It does not matter if it's raining ,snowing or blistering heat - we pray.
Because we could not do anything without Jesus...

"Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ saith the Lord" - Zechariah 4:6
What a beautiful day the Lord has made.
I could not think of a better way to spend it than to share the gospel of Jesus and feed the poor right here on Long Island at one of Lighthouse Mission's daily street outreaches.
Would you please consider praying for us and financially supporting this important ministry? Sadly, donations are way down but the need is going way up and since we are not a church we do not have weekly offerings. We completely trust in God to provide and he can use you.
Rejoice, many have given their life to the Lord today right here on the streets of Long Island!

With the fire sprinkler system being installed in Lighthouse Mission's main building having our 9:30-10:00am daily Bible study in that room would be difficult.... So we held it inside of our warehouse that holds all of the donated food that we use for our daily street outreaches - for our volunteers, workers and community service people.. It was a blessing to have some of the YWAM (youth with a mission) missionaries to teach it. All are welcome to come & learn about Jesus.

Having a blast today sharing the gospel of Jesus at the Lighthouse Mission street outreaches & then mountain biking on sone sweet trails with the amazing teens if the Lighthouse Missions Ignite program.. Sharing the gospel of Jesus is more than handing someone a bible Tract or preaching a message from a pulpit somewhere. It's about spending time with people-all kinds of people & serving them expecting nothing in return & best of all telling them about Jesus and the plan he has for their lives.
It's the kingdom of God on the move.
Lighthouse Missions teen beach party... Surfing, picnicking and talking about Jesus. Mountain biking tomorrow!! Got a teen who would like to be a part of Ignite (lighthouse missions FREE teen program) interested or donating to keep it going? Please give us a call to get ya' plugged into serving Jesus through His Lighthouse Mission....
Whoever said ministry was boring?

Sharing the gospel of Jesus at Lighthouse Mission daily Street outreaches and feeding the poor is not always easy.. Sometimes it means standing in the freezing cold, blazing sun, snowstorms, rain, etc.. It is through our consistency of being there each week and loving on the people - by not only giving them food and clothes and other necessities but also sharing the gospel of Jesus in word and deed that real life changes for Jesus happen.
Want to get on board and help show the gospel of Jesus and feed the poor right here on Long Island? Give us a call and we will get you plugged in.

God is on the move here at His Lighthouse Mission Youth program. We are blessed to have so many teens coming each day to learn about Jesus, Praying together & serve together.. Remember, most of these teens are coming from unchurched & very difficult life situations. Please keep them in your prayers as God continues to work in their lives.
With summer just about here the lines of hurting & hungry people attending Lighthouse Mission daily street outreaches are getting longer.. In addition, when the children are home from school they attend the outreaches with their parents. Lighthouse Mission plans to set up tables and offer lunch to these children while their parents stand on the food line (see table of children in the back of this video). Why? because many go hungry over the summer as they normally receive a free lunch in school. Over the summer they have nothing to eat.
Would you please consider becoming a monthly financial partner so we can meet these growing needs. We are NOT funded by the government & rely entirely on Gods people.

We love you & know how hard you all work but more importantly God knows & loves you! - pastor jim

What a blessing to have so many teens attend Lighthouse Missions weekly youth program. Sure, we play crazy fun games, mountain biking, kayaking, surfing, sailing, long boarding, rock climbing, field trips, etc. they are coming to learn more about Jesus. Our youth director Blaise Chrzastek is off the hook for these kids but more importantly Jesus. Want to find out more about how you can plug in your teen. Give us a call at 631-758-7584 and remember everything is FREE
What makes lighthouse missions daily street outreaches different from other organizations just giving out food is Jesus. By showing up each week at the same place & time no matter what the weather is and not only demonstrating the love of Jesus by giving out food and other necessities but also telling them about the love God has for them by sending His son Jesus to die for them on a cross is THE difference. It's ALL about Jesus & what drives Lighthouse Mission to do what it does & that's to share the gospel of Jesus & feed the poor..

When you hear about hungry children who are sleeping on the floor you might think it is happening in a foreign country. Sadly, its happening right here on Long Island. A family who lost their home and everything inside it called countless churches, government funded agencies, etc. but no one could help them. So the little family prayed & someone told them about Lighthouse Mission so they called...
Since the Mission does not have a weekly collection, fund raisers, etc. things like this is impossible for us but with God all things are possible.. So Pastor Jim & his team prayed and God soon provided for this dear family through many of you & your generous donations.. 3 new beds, bedding, food & bibles were all delivered!
I can't wait to see what God is going to do next!

Mountain Bike program has begun at Lighthouse Mission:

What a blessing to take a bunch of teens out mountain biking today. Each week we take a group of kids to different mountain bike trails around Long Island. Afterwards we stop for a cold drink and talk about Jesus.
It might not seem like much but go a kid growing up without a dad in their lives - it means the world to them. In addition, we are teaching them about the amazing plan God has for their lives. That even though the world may lie & say they are worthless the truth of Hod is that each one was fearfully. & wonderfully created by God & He loves them.

If you would like to plug your teen into these free programs, you would like to donate (we need help) or volunteer with these programs- call the Lighthouse Missions HQ at 632-758-7584 for more details.

Here is another opportunity to creativly invest into the lives of some under-privilaged children for the Kingdom of God right here in Suffolk county..

As you may have noticed pastor jim has a lot of unusual interests. He believes that if you enjoy doing something- find a way to leverage it for the Kingdom of God. So Lighthouse Mission has a fun free Ukulele ministry for under-privilaged teens. The children build their own ukulele along side a solid Christian volunteer who is helping them & speaking life into the child, decorate it, string it, and learn how to play a God honoring worship song. In the end they get to keep the instrument & prayerfully continue receiving free lessons. The only thing is that we DO NOT have enough ukulele kits to continue this ministry. Is there a way that you could help purchase a ukulele kit for a child? Each kit is $30 ea & we need 10 more.

"..let the little children come to me & don't stop them because the Kingdom of God belongs to those such as these.."- Jesus

What a blessing to be able to share the love of Jesus & feed the poor in the rain. Why is it a blessing? because the hundreds of hurting & hungry people who will come to the Lighthouse Mission street outreaches in the rain today will see the volunteers who are serving them are also standing in the rain with them, smiling and telling them that Jesus loves them. Notice in the video the soaked volunteers showing some the people on line scriptures, praying for them & smiling. Its easy to serve on beautiful warm & sunny convienent days. However, its very different to serve in the snow, cold, heat & rain...Its the Kingdom of God on the move!
