Meet the Lighthouse Missions 1st "Perservance" scholarship winners! These teens are part of Lighthouse Missions youth program & have demonstrated perservance even when their lives got hard & focused on growing closer to Jesus. Each teen was blessed with lunch and afternoon of $250 worth of school shopping with Lighthouse Missions youth pastor. Thank you to the person who heard from God & in obedience to Him donated the $1000 to make this blessing possible... I can't wait to see what God is going to do next!

After receiving food at one of the Lighthouse Missions daily street outreaches a hurting young family approached Pastor jim and asked him for a prayer. After praying with them their 4yr old little girl (above) continued to pray “Jesus I pray that you will give me a melon - I love melons. In Jesus name, Amen”. The moment she finished praying she looked up & saw that the Mission was giving away fresh melons. Without hesitation she said “Oh, there they are!” and walked over to the melons and picked one out. - Talk about faith like a little child!

Lighthouse Mission has been getting a bunch of e-mails & calls from people worried that they or their families will go hungry because of the reduction in their food stamp benefits. DON'T WORRY, we understand that things like this can be frightening- but trust in Jesus. Lighthouse Mission has gotten very low on food in the past but God has NEVER let us run out of food- not once in 22 years! So don't worry & trust in Jesus- He loves you!

With budget restrictions in school districts Lighthouse Mission discovered that many teachers use their own money to purchase school supplies for their children. So Lighthouse Missionaries set up tables & tables packed full of school supplies & hosted an afternoon for the local school district teachers to "go shopping" for whatever their class needed.. It's the love of Jesus in action. Thank you to everyone who donated to help make this happen. I can't wait to see what God is going to do next!
