We are seeing more and more people come to our daily street outreaches in need of food- sadly, we have very little to offer. People line up on the street to pray with Pastor Jim (sometimes giving their place in line to someone else) simply to cry out to God to help them feed their family. Please consider helping us share the gospel of Jesus & feed the poor right here on LI. If you can't, would you please consider financially partnering with us? Your business? Your church? We need YOUR help!

After we share the gospel of Jesus with people during daily street outreaches & while they are waiting on line for food we send lighthouse mission missionaries down the lines giving out bibles, tracts & as in this photo pray for people in the mighty name of Jesus - I did not think any of this was against the law- yet...
The question I often get us "why the police & other gov offices give us a hard time"? Here is a link to an article written about us giving out food from last April. Be sure to read the public comments at the bottom... It's a real battle to get food & the Word of God to people. Please keep us in your prayers.
During the daily Lighthouse Mission street outreaches it's not uncommon to find Pastor Jim sharing the Gospel with people waiting on line & you might find him drawing on the ground with side walk chalk with the children, flying tiny kites, or in this case blowing bubbles while telling the children about Jesus.

Listening to children laugh (who normally don't have a lot to laugh about), watching them enjoy a lunch (who normally have very little at home to eat), play games, make crafts, etc. at the Lighthouse Missions free weekly kids program - is a sweet song to my heavenly Fathers ears. Thank you volunteers & monthly partners whom make miracles things like this happen each week.
A single mother came into the Lighthouse Mission for a little food for herself & her 3 year old daughter. After giving her food I prayed for them- when I remembered that someone gave me a new pair of shoes that just might fit the little girl... So I gave them to her.. Have you ever seen a mom cry over a pair of shoes for her daughter.... Your perspective changes. - Pastor Jim

You know things are getting real hard for long islanders when people show up for food at lighthouse mission daily street outreaches in a mobil hospital bed, wheel chairs & even hospital gowns! Thank the Lord we were able to bless her with food & clothing but more importantly share the Gospel of Jesus with them & pray over them for physical healing...

Have you ever watched a child's face light up with excitement because they were going to have supper that day because of food that you gave to them? If you have, you know it will change your life forever. If you hear God calling you to share the Gospel of Jesus & feed the poor- give us a call at the Lighthouse Mission. We would enjoy speaking with you about plugging into the Lighthouse Mission serving the poor right here on Long Island.
This past month God has fed through His Lighthouse Mission the most people we have ever seen in 20 years! With meals on wheels programs, Red Cross and many other programs closing & scaling back the Lighthouse is needed more than ever before. How do we do it? We don't... God does through regular people supporting us each month. Please consider asking your work place, family, friends, church etc. to come & see what the Lighthouse is doing. God bless you.
