Check out this unique donation: an entire box truck full of donated bottles & cans to be redeemed for money to buy much needed food. What a blessing! Any guesses as to how much $$ may be here? Whoever can guess closest to the amount redeemed will receive a $5.00 gift card to Subway (someone gave it to Pastor Jim & he wants to offer it as a grand prize) .. Happy guessing!

During one of today's Lighthouse Mission street outreaches I noticed someone who we did not authorize handing out papers to people waiting on line for food. When I looked at one of the papers I realized it was Jehovah witness propaganda! (which is a terribly false religion) When I went over to speak with the person they literally ran away!.. I was just going to share the real gospel of Jesus with him... The great news is that many people had questions about his papers. I was able to answer their questions with the true gospel of Jesus. How neat is that? A total Gen. 50:20 thing :-)
Since most kids here on long island are off from school this week parents in need of food take their children with them to the street outreaches. So we try & have something special for the kids... Please pray for the Lighthouse missions food supplies. We are dangerously low & are struggling to meet the daily need.
A little girl walked down to one of the lighthouse Missions street outreaches today with her big sister to carry much needed food home for their very sick single mom. They were not only blessed with food for their families but because of a creative donation they also received a box of goodies for themselves. God bless these little children.
While driving the children back to the homeless shelter today one little 7 yr. old boy told me that he wished he & his sister could live at the lighthouse mission. Because there was plenty of food to eat & the Jesus people there are really nice to him- to be called "Jesus people" by a little child is one of the best things I have ever heard. - pastor Jim

This little guy came to a Lighthouse Mission street outreach with his mom and was blessed with this nice cozy coat. He was determined to help her carry groceries back to their home :-) His Dad has been looking for work for months with no success. They thanked Pastor Jim for coming each week with food- they rely on our trucks. They further explained that when her husband saw the food they get from the mission he came to see the outreach for himself. When he arrived & heard pastor's message he made a decision for Jesus! - cool!

The harvest on Long Island is great but the workers are few... As the lines of people who come each day to the Lighthouse Missions street out reaches grow to 3000+ meals each week our donations of funds and food are dropping. We need faithful monthly financial partners.. Would you please pray & consider helping the Lighthouse share the gospel of Jesus & feed LI's poor?

Have you ever seen someone use an alligator to lead someone to Jesus? No? Then you don't know Pastor Jim :-) The kids at todays "Sparks" program for grades K-4th were incredibly blessed with an amazing show from Eric's reptile adventures, McDonald's lunch, cool craft, candy, & best of all learning about the good news of Jesus!

Yesterday we pushed a donated basketball net inside the mission to play ball with the kids from our youth program "Ignite". During the game a person who said they were a CHRISTian happened to come in. They complained to Pastor Jim that we shouldn't play b-ball inside Gods house & left somewhat disgusted... What do you think Pastor Jim explained to the person?

If you were outside this afternoon you certainly heard the heavy rain. Sadly hundreds & hundreds of people stood in long lines today at the lighthouse missions daily street outreach- right here on long island waiting for the chance to receive a bag of groceries... Thank the Lord every need was met, however- our food is real low. Please join us in prayer for our daily bread.. God has never let us down.
