Look at all of these hurting people waiting on line for food at just one of Lighthouse Missions daily street outreaches.. People literally weeping in the street as Lighthouse Mission volunteer missionaries prayed over them. Please keep Lighthouse Mission in your prayers- it's only by His grace that we can meet this ever growing need.
Now that people have had their food stamps cut, we have seen Lighthouse Mission street outreach lines of people waiting for food increase tremendously. In fact we are now adding a Saturday food outreach location. As you know the Lighthouse does not receive ANY gov. funding. Yet, the gov offices continue to send people to us for help.. The good news is that by the grace of God we are meeting the need and everyone is hearing the good news of Jesus. Please pray for us as I am not sure how long we can keep up this pace. Food, funding & cloth donations have dropped. "With man this is impossible but with God all things are possible" - Jesus

Pastor Jim, Mike & our volunteer Joey handing out water, bibles, snacks & goodies to people waiting on long-long gas lines last year after hurracane Sandy. Everyone was shocked we would simply bless them- many tearfully asked for prayer but best of all many gave their lives to Jesus that day!
Thanksgiving Food NEEDED. Please check out this quick video explaining the need to collect food to help share the love of Jesus with thousands of people- right here on Long Island this Thanksgiving. Will you help be the hands of Jesus?

The goal & focus of the Lighthouse Mission is not to give out food- it's to share the Gospel of Jesus. Giving out food, cloths, etc. is great but what people really need is Jesus.. So at every outreach the Word of God is always preached- it's Pastor Jims favorite thing to do.. Come down & join us & be blessed.

The newest addition to the Lighthouse Missions youth leadership team: Blaise. He immediately connected with the 45+ "non-church" kids who attend our weekly programs- ok he used ice cream  Who ever said the gospel of Jesus needs to be boring?

It does not matter what your faith is, what color God made you, if you are straight or live a homosexual lifestyle, young or old, poor or wealthy, legal or illegal, ANYONE is welcome at Lighthouse Mission daily street outreaches for food, cloths, hygiene products, etc. No questions will ever be asked of you - come & be blessed by God through His people. Come to
Any outreach, receive prayer and hear the gospel of Jesus preached at every outreach. The bible says "we have all sinned" so,
come & see, receive food, listen to Gods Words, ask God for forgiveness & give your life to Jesus.
Romans 1:16 says about the gospel "..it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes.."

DENIED AGAIN: Lighthouse Mission - has been turned down again, again & once again for grant assistance from local Long Island businesses because we are a CHRISTian organization that is "very vocal & public about your Christian beliefs" a very true statement & Pastor Jim & his team
At the Lighthouse Mission won't ever-EVER stop lifting up the name of Jesus. So to those companies who don't want to work with us because we are Jesus freaks.. Well, you can keep your money & we will pray for you. "For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes.."- Romans 1:16

A pasta lunch for many of these little guys who attend the Lighthouse Missions FREE "Kids Club" program is a BIG DEAL (everything is free at the Lighthouse, oh and by the way to answer someone's statement earlier- we are NOT funded. We operate on Donations ) Sadly, for many this will be their only meal for the day..

After I finished sharing a message about Jesus with a crowd of people waiting on line for food at a Lighthouse
Mission street outreach I sat down on a curb with a 3 1/2 yr old little boy who was waiting for his mom to get food & we began to talk. He told me all about how he is hungry & his & his sisters belly hurts most of the time because his family has no food to eat, he showed me where his side hurts because the wood floor he sleeps on is not "soft" like the bed he used to have and how he is scared at night because he does not have a daddy to keep his family safe from the mean people who yell at them (they are homeless staying wherever they can).. I asked him if he was scared sitting next to me & he told me "no way! Jesus is here & did you know He is a super hero?" As cute as this is and as many times a week I hear stories like this you would think that I would be used to it by now, but still I could hardly keep back the tears... Here is the really sad part- they have been to many "churches" for help the mom explained and they all turned them away- most, sent them to the Lighthouse Mission. My question to you is "does your church financially support the Lighthouse Mission?" If not please ask why & ask them to pray about getting on board. Sadly, very - very few actually do.

Planning to clean your closets out of your old cloths? Why not donate them to the Lighthouse Mission? Any season clothes would be a blessing. Also, don't forget as the weather gets colder we are going to need coats. God bless you.
Having a great time with a room full of under privileged & homeless children at the Lighthouse Missions weekly "Kids Club" singing fun songs about Jesus, making crafts about Jesus & eating lunch from Jesus but best of all they are learning about Jesus.

Here are the "side walk chalk religious graffiti bandits" who Pastor Jim sat down in the parking lot with- gave them
side walk chalk and drew flowers, crosses & Jesus's name.. We were told by the village where this outreach takes place each week not to graffiti the parking lot or we would receive a summons (it washes away- it's sidewalk chalk!)... Wouldn't it be worth the cost of a summons to watch these poor little children draw, write & sing songs about Jesus with Pastor Jim while their parents waited on line for food? .. We think so.. Christian persecution?-- I am not sure. Sidewalk chalk haters?- definitely :-)

To the village officials who threaten Lighthouse Mission with tickets for leaving behind "religious graffiti" on the parking lots after we finish giving out food & sharing Jesus with hundreds of their residents each week at our street outreaches.. Here is an actual photo of the hardened criminals drawing pictures of crosses, flowers & Jesus with chalk- let me say that again CHALK that was given to them by the infamous Pastor Jim. So I guess it's time to arrest Pastor Jim again? (Don't worry he doesn't mind- he will only tell the guards, inmates & judge about Jesus)

Long-long lines of hurting & hungry long islanders lining up for food at today's Lighthouse Mission street outreaches. So many broken people- literally crying on the street. I was blessed to share the good news of Jesus with them.. I even got to blow some bubbles with the children & made everyone laugh --- Pastor Jim

Most places that give out food are simply giving out food- Lighthouse Mission offers so much more- we offer Jesus. Each outreach starts with a brief message of hope (see Pastor Craig share to crowd of nearly 200) then while food is being distributed, Lighthouse volunteers pray with people on line.. The Kingdom of God is on the move!

What a fun time we had today sharing the gospel of Jesus & feeding the poor at the Lighthouse Missions street outreaches today. Almost 200 people showed up at the Bellport location & 100+ in Shirley.. Thanks to God working through Feed the Children everyone walked away very blessed with food. What was a real blessing is that many heard the gospel of Jesus & gave their lives to Jesus!

Wednesday, October 16, 2013

Lighthouse Mission is excited to be partnering today with "Feed the Children" to hand out food donated by them at a special outreach hosted today at our HQ in Bellport (1543 Montauk hwy) from 12-1.. Best of all the Gospel of Jesus will be (as always) clearly preached.
45+ teens showed up today for Lighthouse Missions weekly teen program. Today's biggest bible question was: "are evil spirits real?" Great question with Halloween quickly approaching. As always, we use these questions to talk about the plan Jesus has for their lives & the plan Satan also has for them as well.

Long long Lines of people waiting on Lighthouse Mission daily street outreaches in hope of receiving some food.. Please pray that lighthouse will be able to continue to meet the growing need.
Just because we are giving out food to our hurting, hungry and in many cases spiritually lost (those who have not invited Jesus into their lives) brothers and sisters here on Long Island doesn't mean it has to be operated like a sad funeral. In fact just the opposite, it should be an exciting circus for Jesus! Children & adults Singing, laughing, sidewalk chalk, balloons, etc. because at lighthouse mission street outreaches each day countless people are finding hope in Jesus & deciding to follow Him. So why not come down to an outreach and help us celebrate! The kingdom of God is on the move at the Lighthouse Mission & I can't wait to see what God is going to do next! - Pastor Jim

Pastor J
im always says that he believes when Jesus was walking around in the flesh nearly 2000 years ago the people that were always around Jesus were the children & the poor. Lighthouse Mission spends a lot of time investing into these two groups.. Feeding them, protecting them, clothing them, playing with them, teaching them about God amazing plan of salvation for them, praying over them-- all to simply demonstrate to them the love of Jesus. God says in His word that He is a Father to the fatherless- we are doing our best to follow His example. Will you join us?, financially support us? .. Pray for us?

The reason everything at the Lighthouse Mission is on wheels is because we change our room around so often to reach people for Jesus. Today, we have our ASPIRE program. Where kids from the local community will have 1 to 1 help with their school work & get partnered with a tutor for the year. Best of all learning about Jesus..

Thursday, October 10, 2013

After mountain biking with Lighthouse Mission pastors, teens rest and listen to a brief message about the temptations in life & how to overcome them with Jesus. What's great is that many of the teens that attend our group are under-privileged & at risk. Sadly, a few of the teens got injured while riding today because the bikes we have are so old that they keep breaking during our rides.. Please pray that God will help us raise the $4500 we need to buy new quality bikes. I'm not sure how much longer we will be able to continue these weekly rides if these bikes continue to break.

The buzz word in the communities surrounding the Lighthouse Mission is "gangs" however, It's amazing to see God sending so many teens to the Lighthouse Mission youth programs each week. Teens doing homework, playing games, having a snack, laughing and learning about the plan that God has for their lives.

Lighthouse Missions Free "Kids Club" is off to an amazing start 50+ children attended. (Everything is always free at Lighthouse Mission) Many were picked up by
Lighthouse Mission at local homeless shelters. Sadly, for many this will be their only meal for the day. Please consider becoming a monthly financial partner so we can continue these kinds of programs each week. Lighthouse Mission may be the only Jesus these kids may ever see.

It starts tomorrow! Wahooooo!
Lighthouse Misions will begin its FREE weekly "Kids Club" 1st & 3rd Saturdays BEGINNING TOMORROW from 11:00-1:00pm for grades K-5th ALL children are welcome to attend. Innovative crafts, crazy games, lunch, great prizes & best of all learning about Jesus.
More exciting news: Lighthouse Mission kicked off our free ESL classes today. Thursdays at 10:15am - it's free - & not only Will your English improve but Best of all you will also learn about Jesus.

Thursday, October 3, 2013

Time to play some 9 square with some of the teens at Lighthouse Mission... More then 20 kids lined up to play. The pastors of Lighthouse encourage "real" games rather then video games. And frankly, they love it! Next we want to build a portable "ga-ag ball pit" the teens... We need about $750 for the materials. Can anyone help keep a mission full of under-privileged teens busy playing old school games with pastors who are discipling them to grow and follow Jesus? Rather then get involved in gangs?

Lighthouse Mission was honored to host a pastors breakfast for pastors from all over Suffolk County. Pastor Jim of Lighthouse Mission spoke a word of encouragement. Please join Lighthouse Mission in prayer for the pastors across Suffolk county. It is a very difficult & very high stress job. Most are under paid and struggle just to meet their families basic needs. In addition, pastors are under consistent attack from the enemy.. So, next time you see a pastor, why not shake their hand & tell them that you appreciate them..
Gods Lighthouse Mission outreach trucks ready to roll out against an overwhelming force: Satan's army.
Our commander who is Jesus said that he "came to seek & save that which was lost" & the bible says that "no weapon turned against us will succeed" & best of all "if God is for us then who can be against us"?
... Who will join us in the fight here on Long Island to share the gospel of Jesus & feed the poor?

Tuesday, October 1, 2013

It was great to have a group of homeschoolers donated their time & pick more then 3000 apples at a local orchard (who also donated the apples) to offer to Lighthouse Mission to give to people at our daily street outreaches... What's really cool Ishtar with each apple that is given out in the street goes the gospel & love of Jesus. Thank you to everyone who helped pick apples.
So-so many hurting Long Islanders have been coming to the Lighthouse Mission daily street outreaches for food & by the grace of God He has been providing for them & has met every need. Would you consider becoming a monthly Finincial partner with the Lighthouse Mission? With God all things are possible & He loves to use his people. The fuel cost alone for our outreach trucks exceed $1000 a month. Who is in?
Lighthouse Mission pastors had a blast today taking a bunch of under-privileged teens mountain biking. At the end pastor Mike (lighthouse youth pastor) shared a practical life lesson from the Bible.. The bible says God is a Father to the fatherless- we are doing our best to follow His example. We really need some quality mountain bikes. Can you help?
