So many people explain to me that they want to go on a foreign missions trip but since they don't have a bunch of money to spend or can't leave their job, family, etc. that they are "excused" from being a missionary- well, not exactly (respectably) Why not come to the Lighthouse Mission? It won't cost ya any $$ to work with us, you can be serving the poor (possibly only moments from your home ) & you will be impacting your communities right here on Long Island for Jesus...

BOTTLED WATER NEEDED -- Can you help?

Its hot outside & people are standing with their children in the blazing sun & we have very little water to offer them. Can you, your church, family or business help sponser a few cases of water to help your neighbors in need?

It was very hot outside today.. People stood online with their children in the sun waiting for much needed food at the Lighthouse Missions street outreaches.. WE HAVE NO WATER TO GIVE TO THEM. Then God answered our prayer and a person came over to us pushing a cart FULL of 6 cases of water which Pastor jim quickly gave to people waiting on line for food. Then he visited the bus stop and gave water & prayed with almost everyone waiting for the bus.. The kingdom of God is on the move!

This little guy & his sister came into the lighthouse mission today.. His bike had a flat tire & he tried to fix it the best he knew how --even masking tape  so they walked into the mission doors with tears in his eyes & TOLD us he KNEW we could fix it. Moments later pastor jim & his missionaries had a brand new tube installed and they were on their way. I began to think that these little kids had it right. Do we expect God to do something big in our lives? Do we trust in Him with our lives, problems, families, etc? Or unlike these little children do we just sit on the curb crying for hours about our flat tire & never run to God for his Fatherly help?

Will children have lunch at Lighthouse Outreaches this summer?

Now that the summer is here many children who normally receive a free lunch in school will no longer have that meal. Sadly, for many children that is the only meal they will have for the day. Lighthouse Mission would like to offer a sit down simple lunch for the children at our daily street outreaches but we need help... Would you consider becoming a monthly sponsor so we can provide this important program. It seems like there is more then 3000 people who follow the mission on facebook... Just think if everyone got plugged in?

It's always a blessing to see so many teens from the troubled communities surrounding the Lighthouse Missions HQ come for our Ignite youth program... Games, snacks, homework help but best of all learning about what it means to know & follow Jesus.

Once again many people lined up today in the pouring rain to receive a little food from God at His Lighthouse Mission's street outreaches in Port Jefferson and Shirley. People receiving food were so grateful that we Always show up no matter what the weather is doing. People still asked for prayer even in the rain. God is on the move and the kingdom of God is near!

A small child attending a Lighthouse Mission children program drew this on our sidewalk... Although she may be homeless & hungry she remembers that God lives her & wants everyone to know that Jesus loves them too.. After seeing this I started to pray do i have faith like this little homeless child to know & boldly proclaim the same?

Sadly for many of the children attending Lighthouse Missions "Kids Club" this will be the only meal they will have for the day. So the next time you are praying about sponsoring a hungry, hurting, homeless or under-privileged children in another country, why not consider praying about sponsoring Lighthouse Mission children right here on Long Island?

Sadly, for many of these poor little guys attending Lighthouse Missions "Kids Club" this will be there ONLY meal for the day.. And yes this is America- Long Island & No Lighthouse Mission is NOT sponsored or supported by the government... Please pray for these poor children.

Saturday June 1 - What an exciting day at the Lighthouse Missions "kids club".. More than 85 homeless and underprivileged children Were blessed by our good friend "Magic Vinny" .. Who teaches them that these are only illusions and not magic.. But best of all he teaches the children throughout the show about the love of Jesus.. What a blessing to hear the children laugh. While understanding their home lives, they have so little to laugh about. Thank you to those who help make programs like this possible for these beautiful child

What a blessing to share the gospel of Jesus & feed countless people today at the lighthouse mission street outreaches.. I got a chance to draw with children on the ground with sidewalk chalk & blow bubbles with them.. They we so excited to see me. They ran to me knowing I'd have bubbles & chalk. They were expecting me to do something great - which in their eyes did happen. I started to think do we come to Jesus with childlike faith EXPECTING God to do something big? - pastor jim
